Getting Your Car to
The Old Church
The Old Church is just one block north of Portland State University Campus, three blocks east of Interstate 405 and two blocks west of the South Park Blocks.
Parking:
There is a commercial parking lot on the same block as the church, owned by City Center Parking. The lot can be entered on 10th Street near 10th and Clay. For parking information, call City Center, 221-1666.
Aside from the parking lot, there is metered parking on the streets around The Old Church. The meters are turned off weekday and Saturday evenings and all day Sunday.
From Vancouver
- Take I-5 south into Oregon.
- You'll see signs for Highways 26 and 30 and the I-405. Take the I-405 (over the Fremont bridge) and stay on it.
- After you pass the 'Everett' exit ramp, take exit 2A - the 'Couch/Burnside' exit.
- On the ramp take the left lane and continue past the stoplight to the center lane. At Burnside, turn left onto Burnside.
- After turning, you will be in the right lane on Burnside. Continue a couple blocks, take the right "fork" to 11th Street and turn right onto 11th.
- Proceed about 11 blocks past the light rail, the library, the Safeway. The Old Church is on the left at the corner of 11th and Clay.
From Beaverton
- Take Highway 26 to Portland.
- Get into the center lane before the tunnel.
- After the tunnel, take the 'market street/city center' exit.
- You will go up a small hill and be at 13th and Market.
- Continue on Market until 10th St., then turn left onto 10th.
- Continue one block to 10th and Clay. Parking is available in a parking lot at 10th and Clay.
- The church is right next to this lot, at the corner of 11th and Clay.
From I-84
- Take I-84 to I-5 heading south to the Marquam bridge (you're now on I-5 heading west towards I-405).
- One of the first exits to the city center is Sixth Street. Take Sixth to Clay Street.
- Go left on Clay, past the Park Blocks, to 11th and Clay.
- The church is at the corner of 11th and Clay.
- If you miss the first exit off the highway, you can take the 12th Street exit instead. Continue north on 12th until Market Street and turn right on Market. Then turn left onto 10th and continue to 10th and Clay. You will see the church on 11th and Clay.
From I-5 South
- Sixth Street
- Take the city center lanes and take the Front Avenue exit ramp.
- Turn left onto Clay Street.
- Stay on Clay, past the Park Blocks, to 11th and Clay.
- The church is at the corner of 11th and Clay.
- If you miss the first exit off the highway, you can take the 12th Street exit instead. Continue north on 12th until Market Street and turn right on Market. Then turn left onto 10th and continue to 10th and Clay. You will see the church on 11th and Clay.
